Who we are
Vital (“Vital AI”) is a meditation app made by Ogimi Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Vital iPhone app, the web app at app.joinvital.ai, and our website joinvital.ai, and what we do with it.
Questions or requests: support@joinvital.ai. Mailing address: Ogimi Labs, Inc., 3133 Carter Ave, Venice, CA 90292, USA.
Effective date: October 15th, 2026
Information we collect
We collect what you give us, what the app records as you use it, and limited payment status from Apple or Stripe.
Account details: email address, password (stored encrypted by our database provider), name and username. From you, when you sign up.
Profile and preferences: onboarding answers, preferred voice, meditation length and music, reminder time. From you, in the app.
What you ask for: the topics you type to create a meditation, the technique you choose, and the meditation text we generate for you. From you and our AI providers.
Practice history: meditations started, saved and replayed; streaks and stats; your name and stats on the in-app leaderboard. Recorded by the app as you use it.
Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription, your plan, and renewal and trial dates. From Apple (App Store purchases) or Stripe (web purchases). We never receive your full card number.
Usage and device data: app screens and features used, app version, device model, operating system, approximate location from your IP address, crash reports and performance data. From the app and website, through analytics and crash-reporting tools.
Messages: support emails and in-app feedback you send us.
Website visits: pages viewed, how you arrived, and your email address if you join our list. From our website and web app, through cookies and similar tools.
We do not collect health records, contacts, photos, or precise location.
How we use information
We use your information to run Vital and to make it better, not to sell it or to show you ads inside the app.
To create your meditations. When you type a topic, we send it, with your chosen technique, length and language, to OpenAI, which writes the meditation text. We then send that text to ElevenLabs, which turns it into speech in the voice you chose. Don’t include information in a topic that you don’t want processed this way.
To run your account: sign-in, saving and replaying meditations, stats, streaks, reminders and the leaderboard.
To handle subscriptions: checking whether you have paid access, and responding to billing questions.
To keep the service working: finding crashes and errors, and measuring speed and reliability.
To improve Vital: understanding which features people use, mostly in aggregate.
To contact you: account and service emails, replies to your messages, and, if you agreed or joined our list, occasional news. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
To stay safe and legal: preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations.
Our AI providers process your topics only to produce your meditation. OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models unless a customer opts in, and we have not. ElevenLabs receives only the meditation text, never your name, email or account details.
Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on: performing our contract with you (running the app), our legitimate interests (security, improvement, service emails), your consent (marketing emails and website cookies), and legal obligations.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and the iPhone app shows no ads and has no advertising trackers. We share it only with service providers that run parts of Vital for us, under contracts that limit their use of it, and when the law requires.
Supabase runs our database, sign-in and server functions. It holds your account, profile, practice history and subscription status.
OpenAI writes each meditation’s text. It receives your meditation topic and settings.
ElevenLabs turns the text into speech. It receives the meditation text.
Google Cloud hosts the audio server that streams iPhone meditations. It receives meditation requests and text.
Google Analytics and Firebase (Google) provide app and website analytics and crash and performance reports. They receive usage and device data.
Sentry provides error and crash reports. It receives device data and error details.
Apple handles App Store purchases and subscriptions, under Apple’s privacy policy.
Stripe handles web subscriptions and payments. It receives your email, plan and payment details; card numbers stay with Stripe.
Loops sends account and newsletter emails. It receives your email address, name and subscription status.
Meta (Facebook pixel) measures sign-ups from our ads on the web app. It receives web-app page visits and device data.
Vercel and Framer host the web app and the website. They receive website visit data.
Expo delivers app updates. It receives device and app-version data.
We may also disclose information to comply with law or a valid legal request, to protect users or the public, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Keeping, deleting and controlling your information
We keep your information while your account is open, and delete it when you delete your account.
Delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete Account. This deletes your account and the data linked to it from our database. Copies in backups and our providers’ logs expire on their normal schedules. Records we must keep for tax or accounting (for example, payment records at Apple or Stripe) are kept as the law requires.
Cancel a subscription: deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions. For web subscriptions, contact us or use the link in your Stripe receipt.
Emails: unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any of them.
Website cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Our web app uses the Facebook pixel to measure our own ads; under some US state laws (such as California’s) that can count as “sharing” personal information for advertising. You can opt out by blocking cookies in your browser or by emailing us.
Your rights. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, or California and other US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict some uses, and to withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email support@joinvital.ai from your account’s email address. We will reply within 30 days and will not treat you differently for using them. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
Vital is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and providers with established security practices, and we limit who on our team can access personal information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers process information in the US and other countries. Where EU or UK law requires, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Not medical advice
Vital’s meditations are for general wellbeing. They are not medical or mental-health treatment. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line (in the US, call or text 988).
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
